I was currently out of disability (long term). I am with the company 3 1/2 years. The company I am working for is closing. They apparently have me "terminated" as of Aug 2. However, I was given NO notice and heard this 2nd hand through a fellow employee.

I kept in constant contact with my boss and on Aug 7th he informed me that I still had a position to come back to.

I went to the location, Thursday Aug 9, and handed in a slip from my Dr. returning to work on Monday. They accepted the letter. They are closing next week (Aug 16)

Also, they have me as "terminated" on the same day that they notified all employees that they are closing. I have received NO notification of being terminated OR that the school is closing in writing nor was I told this by a boss or anyone from the HR dept. At this point, it is just "heresay". I am currently a member or a union, they haven't formed the contract yet, but the union is instated.

What are my legal rights regarding this matter? (I live in New Jersey and Work in Pennsylvania if that matters).
