Illinois.
I am 26 and every day when I am on my way home I stop at a local Mcdonald's drive through and get a soda, hamburger, etc. Then sometimes later when I get done at the gym I stop and get a soda. This has been my routine for a long time. In any case, The girl that is always working the drive through is very nice and I thought quite good looking.
So Yesterday when I went through the drive through I gave her a peice of paper that said, "hey, email me, and gave my email address". She looked totally pissed. So I didn't say anything.
Later when I was done at the gym I went through the drivethrough as usual and she was acting really strange and got the manager. Now, know I never said a word to her. Well some kid came out of the restruant and got my license plate number. I was like????? So I called the manager. I said, I am there every day and I gave the girl my email address, innocent, no harm. She was like, she is 16 years old and you have her very scared. I was like, no I didn't know she was 16, she looks like she is 20, I said I was sorry and that there was no bad intentions. She was like, don't let it happen again.
Thing is, I don't understand why in the hell such a huge ordeal was made out of it, and my vehicle is a custom vehicle that is very noticeable and distinguishable and I live 2 blocks from this Mcdonalds. I never thought in a million years that such an issue would be a problem with giving someone your email address, and not even saying a word to them.
Now, I am scared to even go to that mcdonalds again. I don't want to get in any trouble, and I sure don't want some girls family seeing me in a parking lot of a store (cause of my vehicle is noticeable) where I live and give me a bunch of crap, or even have the police called on me.
Is there anything to this? Should I be worried? Advice / recommendations?
Also, NO I didn't leave ANYthing out, the above is exactly what happened, nothing more, nothing less.
Thanks!
