Hello all...I am really trying hard to help out my father in law. He owns a farm in Indiana County, PA and one of his neighbors has been encroaching on his property for years. He says that the State came in and issued a "waiver" that no one was allowed on his property (I still have not been able to get any information on such a thing) but he says that the courthouse in Indiana doesn't have record of it. He says it should be on file somewhere with the State because the person who issued it said it would be.
These people have moved onto over two acres of property and have removed timber. Now they are having a water main put in, and its being dug on his property. He says that the law enforcement in his town won't do anything about it. He's paid surveyors to come in only to have the stakes pulled out and thrown aside by this neighbor person. I don't know what to do. I don't know where to turn. He's had several local lawyers work on his case and they haven't done diddly. He's put out thousands of dollars and can't afford more to fight this.
Does anyone have any information that could help? Aside of retaining another lawyer, does anyone know what we can do?
Thanks so much for helping...
