Can the father ask the court to change the joint custody order that gave the mother physical custody when the child was an infant?
Now that the child is 2, he wants joint physical custody as well as joint legal custody. He has a good job and a wife (me). He provides the health insurance, child support and a stable home. Our visitation order is for every other weekend and 2 nights a week.
We live in a city with excellent schools, one hour away from the mother.
The mother still lives with her parents in a rural setting and only income is babysitting for a friend. She is not a highly motivated woman. Her days seem to revolve around her favorite soap operas and shopping.
Would a judge see this stability as the best interest of the child?
