Can I claim the costs to get my vasectomy corrected during my divorce as I never knew about her affairs when we agreed to get this done?
I am only 37 years and wouldn't mind having more kids.

Huh? What does her infedelity have to do with your choice to get a vasectomy?
I guess my logic was that we decided not to have any more kids. This was a joint decision and there was never a doubt, or at least that she let on, that we were ever going to get divorced. Two years after the surgery, she has an affair that I finally find out about. There were also affairs before I had the surgery that I never knew about.
I knew it was a long shot, but thought I would try here prior to brining it up at mediation. I am getting screwed over no matter what through this divorce.
But you're still not saying how the decision to not have children has ANYTHING to do with having sex. The vasectomy meant that she could have sex with you with no pregnancy. That has nothing to do with having sex with other people. Now, ifyou had said that she got pregnant by another man, that would be different.
More than 50% of marriages end in divorce.
I think he is saying that since she had affairs, the marriage is irretrievably broken. He had the vasectomy because he knew that he and his current wife would not want any more children. Now that the marriage is over, he is looking to the future and may like to have more children with another woman.
I'm sorry, but that's not how it works, OP. You made the decision to have the vasectomy. She couldn't force you to do it. So, it's highly, highly doubtful (like the chances of the proverbial snowball) that you would be awarded damages in your divorce for the vasectomy.
