I am posting this for my friend.
He cam to US on H1B visa and applied for the SSN. he was said he has a job in the US and brought here but after comming here his employer is asking him to attend the interviews (He is on bench).
he asked his employer to run his payroll from the day one he entered but his employer said he will be running the payroll only from the day he get the SSN.
he is not paid any amount currently.....
Is there any way the employer can show any reasons for not paying the salary before an employee get his SSN.
As per my knowledge I know from the day one the employee should be paid, is there any other law where an employer can skip the salary.
