Venting on a Website and Legal Liability

I recently "vented" some feelings toward a particular person on my home-made web page.

It IS harsh...true, but harsh.

(There is no link to that particular page, like there is to other pages - titled "Fun" "Pets" "Hobbies", etc).

If I DO put a link on the main page, am I setting myself up if/when he/she finds out about the page?

As juvenile as it seems, it is a way for me to vent. And, sure I'd like for him/her to see it.

It's kiddieland compared to what he/she put me through. Maybe its just my way of getting my feelings out...?

Your liability would turn upon what you wrote, as well as its truth (and possibly your ability to establish that it is true). If you are worried about liability, discretion is usually the better part of valor.

What about people who write books exposing others' misfits, etc? Or, people on t.v. who do the same?

Writers typically have lawyers review their work before it is published.
