I plan to return back to Seattle soon, and I am trying to figure the best way to deal with this situation. I am wanting to stand before the judge while I am home for the forgery charge. This happened a long time ago, but I found out about it a few years ago while applying for a job. Let's just say I was young and trustworthy. I let my so called boyfriend put checks into my checking account, and he would withdrawl them also. I also took a few of the checks into some banks and cashed them. I knew that they were not mine, and that I had never worked for any of the people on the front of the checks. I was foolish and I still did it...long story short. I got arrested at one of the banks and was held for some number of days. They took me to court, but while we were in court a bad fight broke out and I am kinda confused with what happened next. I know that the judge told me that I better not ever get in trouble for anything ever again, and that I should be more careful who I trust. But no where in that conversation do I remember her saying that I had to return to court. But like I was saying I applied for the job and it was mine until the background check came back. I was so distruaght and confused at first, but then I remembered what had happened. I need to know if I can still be seen by the judge on a open docute or if I had to make other arrangements. Who should I try and contact first to get the ball rolling. And what do you think can happen to me after all this time. I promise that I was not running away from home, but I don't live in the state of Washington anymore. I haven't been there for about 7 years. I am now a medical assistant student and will be done in the Spring of 2008. I don't want any of this to interfere with my future. I will do anything to get this taken care of. Thanks for any knowledgeable advice, I appreciate it more than you will ever know.![]()
