    Default Step-Parent Adoption When The Father Is Deceased

    I live in PA. My husband would like to adopt my 4 year old son. The Bio dad is not listed on the birth cert and is deceased paternity was never esablished. My husband is the only father my son has ever know. can he still do a step parent adoption and what would be invloved

    Yes, but as paternity was never established the court may require some form of publication or public posting of the adoption proceeding. Adoptions can be complicated, so you should consider getting help from a lawyer.
