    Default Lien On My Home

How does one find out for sure if a Lien has been placed on their home? I log into the county web site into the official records but there is nothing listed. When I ask the clerk they tell me they can't give out that info because they may be giving incorrect info & don't want to be held responsible. Also would I get any kind of notice that a lien was placed on my home. Keep in mind this is in Florida.

Your county has records of the property title, and you should be able to access them as public records. You can also hire a title company to do a title search.
