    Lightbulb Looking For Emancipation Help

Hi, my name is Jennifer. Im 17 and I live in Texas.
I have a part time job in the process of getting a car with innsurance.
I'm also going through highschool at the moment.
I've read through all of the Texas Family Code, but I still don't get the concept of a few parts.
So I have a few questions, if anybody would like to help it would be greatly appreciated

#1. My parents are not abusive mentally or physically, I just feel that I would be better off on my own. My house is a really stressful enviorment, its effecting my progress in school and my self mentality. We rarely ever agree on anything, and its just a really hectic place to live. But my overall question was, would that be a liable enough reason to leave?

#2. Although I am capable of getting my own apartment, I would rather be living with a friend and her mom. They are renting out one of their rooms to me, but would that be considered fully dependant, although I would be paying rent like any other place I would go to? I would also be paying for my share of EVERYTHING (food, electricity ect.)

#3. My mom will Not agree to me moving out, although my stepdad could care less. But it says that you have to show proof of self housing, how would I go about doing that if the whole purpose of going through emacipation was so I could move out without thier consult? And if so happen that my mom did agree, is there a way I could leave without going through the court system, or am I obligated to do so?

    Thanks for reading.......Ciao Jennifer

The point of emancipation is NOT to move out without their consent. If that is your impression, you seriously misunderstand the concept.

The answer to your first question, BTW, is no, that is not a good enough reason for emancipation. And if your mother does not agree to it, your chances of being emancipated are about zero.
