Unhappy Expunging or Reducing an Arizona Conviction

Hello, I recently enlisted in the army (june 5) but it wasn't until recently that a felony showed up on my record from 8 years ago. The charge was aggravated assult out of arizona, I have a few months to get this charge either reduced to simple assult or reduced to a misdeamor or expunged. Are any of these possible to do. Serving my country means the world to me, please help. James

Arizona does not have an expungement statute. Criminal records stay on a convicted person’s criminal record until they reach age 99. I would suggest consulting a lawyer in Arizona, in the county where you were convicted, about the possibility of reducing your conviction charge.
