First Offense Shoplifting from Kohls

I am 19 years old and i have a clean record. i live in Wisconsin and last week i was caught shoplifting at Kohl's dept. and it came up to 133.00 the cops were called i was given a ticket from the police officer, my picture was taken by the dept. store and i signed a paper stating that i was not allowed in the store or id be charged with trespassing. what should i expect the outcome to be... jail fines community service please help im very upset and i don't know whats going to happen to me...

No one can say for sure but first offense shoplifting rarely carries a jail sentence you can expect

. Possible shoplifting program to attend

You can also expect out side of court Civil demand. This will come in the mail from either a Civil Recovery service or a Law firm. Amounts vary but the norm is around $300.00 Its a Civil action and unrelated to your criminal charges and fines.
