Default How Long Do Conditions On Pretrial Release Last

My son was arrested with another young man October of 2005 for possession with intent of meth in Canton, Texas. He had a 75000.00 bond. He did make bail the other man had a felony 1 with a 100,000.00 bond he also was released. They were in the other mans car. He had 480 grams I think. He has never been in trouble before and was cooperative. They put his case in constant continous due to more arrest of the other man who is now in federal prison. My son has had to go every 3 months for status check. My questiuon is how long can they do this and when will they actually go to trial. are there any time limits

He has to abide by the terms of his bond until he either enters into a plea bargain and is sentenced, or is tried and either acquitted or convicted and sentenced.
