We have a quit claim deed for our subdivision that grants us an easment over what is now an road that was abandoned by the county. The deed was issued to us by the property holder of the ajoining property after we objected to a gate across the abandoned road which denied us access to a park thru a marked trail that is part of the subdivision. The claim releases all claim he had to the tract. Does this give us legal ownership of the tract of land or only an easment thru his property?
