    Question Waiver of Preliminary Exam

    Hello again, well my fiancee has two counts of felony charges.1) armed robbery
    2) having 2 grams of morphine and katamine. Today he went to a preliminary exam and they waived it. why? Now he has to go to circuit court on the 25th which the lawyer said to ignore that date. can you explain to me what is going to happen next b/c i did not quite understand it the first time.

    Laws and court procedures are different in each state. They may have waived the preliminary exam as part of a plea deal with the prosecutor.
