Default Charged with theft at work

I have recently been charged with a misdeamenor C class of theft at work I stole approx. $600 my question is if my former employer does follow through with the charges is there any possible way that it can be expunged from my record. I am currently in school and I don't want this situation to affect my future on getting a career I know it is my fault for what I put myself in but I just want some advice. Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide me some advice on what may happen.

    Default Theft at Work

You mean, if your employer arranges with the prosecutor to drop the charges against you?
