    Default Stupid Situation

OK, so this is a really really stupid situation, but I do need some advice. I am 19 Years old and I was dating a 23 year old until a few months back when she broke up with me. Now, some of my younger friends, namely two 16 year old girls decided to call her and give her crap for breaking up with me. This was a few weeks ago. So apparently at some point to make my X mad they told her that we had had sex. Now... obviously its annoying when people give you crap, and my X thought i had something to do with the whole thing (which i did not) and she decided that she was going to record the part where they said they had sex with me. Now, Truthfully absolutely nothing of the sort has or ever will happen, but my X told another friend that she was going to bring it to the police. If she were to do such a thing is there anything that i should be worried about/ do i have a chance of being put on the sexual offender list?

You failed to say what state your in. The age of consent vaires by state. I say that because if AOC is 16 or less for your state even if true there is no crime

Yeah sorry about that... I'm in Illinois, 17 would be the age I'm fairly certain.

If thats true then you do have cause for some concern. However I would say do nothing at this point. Police have not questioned you or the girls and until they do the less you say about this the better. You might meet with an Attoreny and discuss your options if Police do investigate.

id like to emphasize the fact again that I did not sleep with the girls, and the two girls in question say the same. If there were an investigation how would there be any proof of such a thing happening/ How could i be convicted?

It would be unfair to say I merley said you currently have no cause for alarm. The recordin gis damaging yes but if the girls say it was a joke they will need more than that I suspect. Being convicted without direct evidence is not unheard of ask Scott Peterson
