    Exclamation Punishments For First Offense Class B Misdemeanor

    My 18 year old Boyfriend was with an ex-friend of his at the time when he was caught shoplifting and he was conviicted as an accessory to shoplifting {of 50 to 500 dollars } a Class B misdemeanor in Texas I know that the law states you can recieve a fine of up to $2,000 and up to 180 days jail time this is a first offense his bail was set at only $30 what is the most likely punishment he will recive, and if he sees jail time how long is most likely??? Also what is the likelyhood he will be able to get it expunged after the standard 5 year without felony waiting period?

    If he's convicted of a misdemeanor, felony waiting periods are irrelevant.

    If he has a clean record he is most likely to receive probation.
