Default Charges For Assaulting Somebody In My Own House

I live in NC, and was wondering what is the likelyhood that another female can win an assault case against me, when she was at MY house? Do i not have the right to get her off my property at any and all costs? She was there to see my husband, and though I do not actively LIVE in the home, I was staying with him for a short while, when this happened. What are my chances of conviction? I do have a lawyer, but I just want to know what the likelyhood of this is.. Thank you in advance.

No, You have the right to call the police to get an unwanted person off your property. But if she was there to visit your husband, with his authorization, than she had permission to be there. It is not legal to attack people because you don't want them around.
