Thanks Mr. K....that was the answer I hoped for. My brother was recruited to this job (they did not pay for the move) under false promises. He could possibly have some civil claims against the employer, but proving them might be difficult and expensive so he's cutting his losses and moving on. I just wanted to help him avoid as much financial whiplash as possible as the year he spent working with this company has already put him in a financial bind. I'm assuming his notice requirement is 30 days and he's only provided 2 days notice. Fortunately the lease term is now expired and I'm certain he'll leave the premises in good condition.
