Default Charge Reduction From Felony To A Misdemeanor

My husband had a superior case with felony charges on it. The case was sent to a grand jury where it was decided he was over charged with the felony charges and they were dropped. His file currenly only has misdemeanor charges. It was moved from superior court to state court. What is process in Georgia and how long does it take to get a bond once the case is transferred down?

Try asking the court clerk's office how long a transfer usually takes.

He presumably has already had a bond set. If that is the case and he wishes to move to reduce his bond, he (preferably with the help of a criminal defense lawyer) would need to bring a motion for a bond reduction. That may have to wait until the case is transferred.
