Theft is a crime what else would it be. What you read about Civil Demand and thats it was in cases Police were not involved and charges were not pressed that does not seem to be the case with you

so i am kaputz.
i had another question, i dont know if you read it.
oh and also i read other posts that say stuff about if you plead guilty that's a criminal charge, does this apply in juvenile court?
do i need someone to defend me in court?
and sorry for being stupid but what's the difference between a lawyer and an attorney? a public defender is free right?
i read this also in the stickied thread:
In some shoplifting cases when the value of the goods is minor and it is a first time offense, perhaps committed by a minor, the criminal justice system will issue a warning to the shoplifting offender rather than prosecute the case. This depends wholly on the circumstances, and does not mitigate the unlawfulness of shoplifting.
what are the chances of ^that happening
This is something no one here can say for sure. You should consult a criminal defense Attorney and dicuss options with him/her
