Lightbulb Title To A Damaged Motorcycle

a friend (at basic currently) owes my dad $1200 and we have the title to his motorcycle. The motorcycle is at his uncles and is now destroyed due to his uncle being constantly drunk. Its worth about 500 bucks before, worthless now, is the title any good still?

    Default Re: Titles

sure but holding the title actually offers you nothing in regards to securing the vehicle. All the title owner has to do is apply for a new title, unless of course, there is a lein recorded on the title, and he could have sold it.

the bike is worth scrap value.

now, just because the bike is damaged, that does not release your buddy from any liability to you for the loan unless you had such an agreement.
