    Default Convicted After Probation Expires

    Name of state: Maryland
What if you have trial a month after your unsupervised probation expires, and the probation officer does not know about your new charge. Say you are convicted after the probation expires, is it still a violation?

Odds are your probation requires you to report the new incident to your probation officer. You don't need to be convicted to violate your probation. Probation violations are reviewed on a probable cause standard, not "beyond a reasonable doubt". If you haven't yet, consider getting a criminal defense lawyer.
