Default Re: Police Did Not Arrest, But Issued A Ticket For Shoplifting

I was questioned by LP but not arrested or given a citation, nothing. He took a copy of my license and that was it. He said that I would be receiving a summons in 30 days. A few cops I have talked to said that it sounds unusual that he would let me walk without signing anything. Thoughts? I have been researching this and have read all the scenarios and have never once heard a situation similar to this.

Default Re: Caught Shoplifting, And That A Summons Would Come Later

You could provide more details to your story, it sounds like two people chatting in the mall. Why were you stopped? What state? What store? Did he take your license, run off and make a copy then come back??
