    Default Adding A Name To A Deed

    if i want to add someone's name to a deed on a property i own, how do i go about doing that? what government agency/dept would i speak to? how much does it cost and how long does it take?

    What you need to do is to take your existing deed to a real estate attorney and let him draw up a deed transferring the % you want the other person to have. There could be tax and right of survivorship, etc. questions and the attorney can answer them or refer you to someone who can.
