I bought this property the way it is since 1989. My house is on a corner, and the front of the house is facing one street and the garage is facing the back street. The city blue print shows that a little corner 20 x 10 x 18 is attached to my neighbors property but it is behind my garage. He bought the next door property two months ago that includes a little piece of a third parcel which is the my garage drive way access and it also has concrete, gate, and a link fence. Now he is building a new fence that will cancel my drive way and access to my garage. I offered him to buy the corner but he refused, both him self and I never knew that little corner was part of a non existing parcel because the city built a street and part of the California Aqueduct. Which leaves the reminding corner behind my lot. We have lived all those years here using that corner to access the garage drive way, if he finishes his fence im going to lose access to the back street. Now we are in conflict and he is planning to pile up junk in that corner. I think i qualify for adverse possession, should i try to convince him or take him to court. I don't know what to do?
