    Default Marrying a German

    Hello,

I am a citizen of Ghana in West Africa living in Germany. I have a daughter with a German and received a one year visa(auftenhalterlaubnis) which allows me to work in Germany. This is renewable on exhaustion. Hitherto, I was an asylum seeker.

As it stands, we eventually want to get married. After which we intend to move to England. Should we move to England, what are my chances of getting a permanent UK residence? Secondly, how long does this take, and under what conditions.

Thanks a lot for your help.

You shoud consult with a competent U.K. Immigration lawyer.
