    I'll just ask my question here. If i camera sees you stick something in you're pants and no one seems to notice and you make it out of the store, can thet still arrest you?? I mean, they have no proof i took it out and it was a bottle of wine BTW. Still havent heard anything and it happened last night. I am very ashamed and will never do that again, i was pretty ripped too!

    Videotape is good evidence, but the odds of being arrested after-the-fact are low. Most shoplifting arrests are contemporaneous with the act of stealing. There is a significantly increased chance, though, that you will be identified as a "known shoplifter" by the store and watched very closely in your future visits.
