Is it that your lease prohibits your operating a business out of your unit?

    hi

my apt complex doesn't mind if u work at home,
however, its the fact that i post on craigslist
and that someone has told them that i might
    be up to something bad
which has caused the eviction notice.

they handed me the notice with a copy of my online ad.
however, i went to school for massage therapy and i even
have my certificate so that i could work part time and go to school
    so .........

If your lease says you can work, use that as a defense when you go to court.

Unhappy eviction: how strong is my case?

    Sorry For The Caps.....

My Stalker Neighbor, Who Works For The Sherriffs Office
Found My Posting On Craigslist For Cmt. She Then Turned Me Into
The Office, Who Also Has New Managers.

I Was Given A 30 Day Notice To Leave My Apt For
Working As A Cmt Out Of My Home.

    (no Warnings To Quit...nothing)

When I Moved In 9 Months Ago, I Had Verbal Permission To
Work Pt Time Out Of My Home As A Cmt, While Taking Care
    Of A Person On Disability.

Due To The Nosey Neighbor And The New Landlords,
I Am In Violation Of Running A Business In My Home.

Ive Tried To Hand In App. To Other Places,
However I Have Been Rejected Due To The 30 Notice
And My Current Apt. Is Also Informing The Places
That Im Involved In Suspicious Behavior.....
Which Is Just The Clients Stopping By.

I Work No More Than 8 Hrs Per Week By The Way.

Im Currently A College Student And Need Help Getting This Resolved.
Because I Have To Move, And The Apt That I Live At Now, Is Smearring My Name So That I Cannot Move Anywhere!!!!!!!!!

And To Top It Off My Neighbor Is Constantly Spying On Me. She Gives Me The Creeps.

Was the orignal agreement put on lease or in writing? You also mention part time has that increased? If you fight this (your right) and lose you have an evictioon on your record and this make sit harder to find new digs. Right now you have a request (or demand) to leave within 30 days. Nothing has gone to court and can be found by new Landlords. Ask current Landlord for 60 days and during that time allow you 10 hours a week for your massage work to help you gain funds to move. the Landlord does not want to go to court and neither do you so perhaps an agreement can be reached
