Question "Freedom of Information Act" (FOIA)

I was recently pulled over for speeding, the tool they used was vascar. I requested to see the information for testing of the equipment and manuals they told me I could not see that until the day I was in court. Do they have to let me see the documentation so that I can build my case around it? By them not allowing me to see the records does this break my rights under the "Freedom of Information Act" (FOIA). Is this grounds for dismisal?

    Thanks,

    Jim

Each state has a different FOIA law, so you would have to check your state's laws.
