    Default Identity Theft Charges

we are doing this mock trial in class, and its on identity theft. the kid is 17 years old but he was 16 when he tried logging in on a site using someone elses name and password. they tracked him down through his IP. what could i try the kid for. would it be under a 16 year old consequence or a 17 year old? could he go to jail? even though its a mock trial haha

    Default Re: Identity Theft Charges

Depending on the jurisdiction, who owned the service he broke into, and what was done during the unauthorized intrusion, there are a wide range of possible charges the kid could face.
