Totally unfair. It was obvious from the post that this person was NOT in a union or had any civil service protections. You have no clue what adjusterjack would have said had there been an indication that there was an exception.
They (The Expert Law Clique) have been indecriminately saying that anyone can be fired for any reason for years now. Where have you been? Don't you get tired of hearing this crap? Don't you get tired of them dismishing, insulting and scaring good, hardworking people?

Maybe he isn't a civil servant but did he mention the size of his company...or does that not matter in The Cliques's opinion either? Because it does in the real world. Then to say that written company policy doesn't matter either. What a bunch of BS.

If a policeman, a fireman, a union worker or an employee of a mega-Corp was naive enough to write in here for the same advice I doubt you would be stupid enough to tell them that they can be fired at any minute for any reason.

What a pass-time, telling folks they are screwed. And you want to be seen as an expert on corporate America?
Anyone in a union or who has an actual employment contract is different than everybody else. An employee of a mega-corp who doesn't have a contract is no different than anyone else either.

Harold, you do people a disservice by these statements. It is absolutely true that nobody has any protection against being fired unless they have an employment contract or are part of a union, or they are being fired for a reason that is illegal discrimination. It is not fair to the people who post here to give them the impression that it is not correct.

And I see you guys doing a much bigger disservice being a coalision of bad opinions.

To say that anyone can can be fired for any reason, without stating those HUGE exceptions, is just wrong. But, most of you are here to just scare an insult people.

People with contracts know that they have a contract and therefore are highly unlikely to come here for advice. People in unions don't come here for advice, they go to their union rep.

It was, in fact, stated in post #5. Reading carefully isn't what you're know for, is it? "Facts" are also flexible and are synonymous with "opinion", up is down, left is right...don't you have anything new or are you nothing but the same trick over and over and over and over?

Yes, on this site up is down and left is right.

It's very sad to watch people mislead others, but that is every lawyer-wanna-be's biggest thrill.

As simple as that: if I'm put on PIP (performance improvement plan), but not provided an office to work ( work from home expected, but I don't have work from home agreement), how this situation is viewed legally?

There is nothing illegal about it. You just don't want to accept it.
