    You can expect the following

    .Criminal record of theft
    .Fines less than $1000.00
    .Community Service
    .Probation (Summary)
    .Likely ban from retialer

You can also expect (seperate from court) A Civil Demand letter. This si a Civil action and demand for monies up to $1000.00 depending on state but normal range is around $300.00

If convicted of theft it will remain on your record! Hire an Attorney talk to him/her about diversion

Having a theft conviction on your record can effect your gettinga job promotion rental property etc. by hiring a Lawyer you can minimize the damage. Diversion is one such option
