Pregnant, Runaway, and Previously on Probation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Virginia

Good afternoon. I was posting to inquire about whether or not a 16 year old who ran away at age 15 can NOT be forced to go home or into foster care and what they can do to not go home but to get a job and support themselves so that they qualify for emancipation.

If they are a runaway in the middle of their probation at 15 (gone for almost a year) now aged 16 years old with child can they get emancipated? There is no way to know if that person is clear to get a job or their credentials without being forced to be sent back home or to a foster center. They have safe living conditions for themselves and baby until they get a job and have anough to support themselves financially. (Also have boyfriend working for money at the moment.)

*Their probation was due to threatening with a fake gun and possession of tobacco was also a first time violation of probation*

There is not even a remote chance of legal emancipation. A pregnant runaway who is on probation has three strikes against her before she even begins, and emancipation of a minor is exceedingly rare to begin with. Given pregnancy, runaway status, and on probation, any ONE of those conditions would be enough to take emancipation off the table as an option just alone by itself. With all three, as a former poster used to say, you'd have a better chance of sitting down next to Elvis on the bus on the same day that you won the lottery AND were struck by lightning, than you'd have at being declared legally emancipated.

Either of those things could happen.

"They"? Are you talking about someone other than the runaway girl? If not, girls are referred to with the pronouns "she" and "her," not "they" and "them."

The way this is phrased suggests that you think that a 16 year old who has a job and can support herself is eligible for emancipation, which is just absurd.
