If the OP would provide a little detail as to the situation that has occurred/that s/he is afraid will occur and why s/he thinks someone will be looking to identify him/her or alternately, who s/he is trying to identify, perhaps we would be able to provide some meaningful input.
    I asked in another thread.

And this is why we request, and you should follow, that you keep all the details in ONE THREAD. Poeple aren't going to remember your little details scattered all over this forum.

My question involves criminal law for the state of: CA. This actually happened and no longer worry about other loopy scenarios. Two months ago, I was scratching my shorts and exposed my boxers being careless. I seriously believe it was just my boxers and NOTHING ELSE. However I have ocd and there’s a micro part of me that’s worried there was a chance I exposed my genitals and someone saw. I was right at my car and my license plate still wouldn’t show a record since it’s still salvaged. I called DMV and that’s how I found out. However I was in front of my house. Let’s do hypothetical so I can FINALLY put my worries to rest: IF I did happen to expose myself and someone took a picture of me at my car but my license is invalid, how easily can I be identified if s/he showed police? Considering too that I was in front of a house, how likely is it that the address will be involved and police show up within an hour? I was there for a couple of hours before going to work. Also, how likely is it that I’m safe since it’s been two months and still nothing happened?
Look, let me make your hypothetical simple. DON'T FLASH YOUR JUNK at people (or in a way that people might see). Then you don't have to worry. It is not a defense that you were in your house when you did it if you did it in a way that is visible to the public.

With that advice, please return if you actually get charged rather than are just throwing around your autoerotic fantasies. We do not have time to deal with someone engaging in one-handed typing at our expense.

I didn’t see this here. How likely is it that I’m safe and how likely can I be identified with an invalid license plate? I’d NEVER want to flash someonE.

If this happened two months ago and no one has come to drag you off to jail yet, they're not going to. IF you were going to be identified and any action taken, it would have happened long ago. What you've described is going to be a low priority item at best; no one is going to drag it out this long.

Are you by chance the same individual who, on another board, is concerned about a minor incident related to your medical records and potential employment with a financial institution?

My employment is good. Would I still have been easily able to be identified though even with an invalid license plate but was at my house?

Yup, you're the same guy all right.

Since two months after the fact no one in law enforcement has done anything, one of two things is the case:

1.) They tried, but were unable to identify you
2.) No one tried to identify you in the first place.

The odds of it being number one are very very low. The odds of it being number two are very, very high.

I will absolutely guarantee you with no exceptions whatsoever - no law enforcement agency would spend a full two months trying to identify someone who may have, but probably didn't, expose his genitals for a period of a nanosecond. If they were going to try to identify you and take any action, it would have been immediate. Since nothing has happened by now, either the answer to your question is NO, they were not able to easily identify you (or at all), or alternately they didn't try to identify you.

In either case, you asked if you are safe now? Yes. You are safe now. You can take that to the bank.

By the way for the record, it was a few seconds not just a nanosecond. I just want to be sure since you calmed me down, are the answers all still the same. Since a few seconds would allow someone more chance to take a pic?

Yes. I am quite certain that all the answers are still exactly the same.
