My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Maryland . Below is issue described: Company ABC that hired me recently furlough me recently with no pay. During furlough period, I found a new job and submitted my resignation - giving them two weeks of notice. Now, company ABC is asking me to return relocation assistance pay that company provided me during the time of hire. Given that company ABC breached terms of offer by furlough me with no pay, am can I argue company breached terms of agreement and therefore, I am not liable for payback?
