My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Missouri

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Missouri.

I was furloughed due to Covid. I was able to apply for my unemployment but while doing so a place I had never heard from nor worked at popped up in my working history. I denied ever working at this facility which prompted an investigation into the matter. I filed my unemployment roughly 10 weeks ago and have not received 1 check to date. I am curious if I have any legal recourse to the company that entered my social for 1 or their employees. The company did admit it was a clerical issue but due to their mistake I have not had a check in 10 weeks.

Would you like to be sued for every mistake you ever made?

No, there's nothing to sue for.

You'll get a nice big retroactive check when it's all figured out.

So what if some company popped up in your work history? Was it claimed that you worked for this company in the last year or 13 weeks before you were furloughed form your current job?

There is something missing. You have to explain the situation better than you have. If you were an employee of the company you were furloughed from then your benefits would be based on your wage records for that company (depending on how long you worked for them) but you shouldn't be denied approval of your applications.

Before you could successfully sue, even before we get into things like what duty they had to you and what actual damages you had, you'd need some evidence that but for their mistake, your benefits would never have been delayed. And with the slowdowns that are occurring with UI benefits all over the US, I doubt very much that you can prove that.

Has anyone ever heard of such a suit being filed, much less such a suit being won by the plaintiff?
