Court Needs Proof Any Suggestions

Would you recommend attaching a letter of some sort in regards to my defense or should I just send a police report

As i am unaware of the specific requirements for the format of petitions in your courts, I hesitate to offer a suggestion. You might try calling the clerk of the court on Monday and inform them that you are attempting to submit (re-submit?) your petition, and ask if the proper format is to simply attach the police report, or something else. If you have been given leave to do so, you might consider adding a letter explaining what the report shows - or, in this case, DOES NOT show (i.e. serious injury to the victim).

I would like to thank everyone for there advice. As of yesterday the judge granted my expungement. I am so thankful. I have a lot of questions about my gun rights ? New Mexico

Congratulations! Bear in mind that localities are very quick to report information that will DQ you from owning a firearm, but the process to report info that will clear you is apparently slow. So, do not be surprised if you continue to get denied or delayed for a while. You may also find it useful to apply for a Universal Personal Identification Number (UPIN).

Any suggestions on what agencies I should send the judges sign of the expungement to. I was trying to get a hold of a attorney but they wanted like a $300 consultation fee which I understand I just don’t have the money so I’m trying to do it all on my own
