My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: NY
Received a driver's license cancellation notice from GA effective April 13, 2020, due to a suspension order from NY. According to the NY DMV's website, they suspended the driver's license I surrendered to GA when I received my GA license in December 2016. The suspension is for lack of NY auto insurance. I live in GA, and have since December 2016.
GA confirmed they sent the surrender notice to NY in December 2016, and to call NY. I have not been able to reach the NY DMV since they're shutdown due to COVID.
Two questions:
1) What can I do to get my license reinstated?
2) What do I need to watch out for after reinstatement? Make sure the DMV removes the record? Anything else?
Thanks!
