Lame Community College Academic Probation 2.7 Over All Gpa

My question involves education law in the State of: California, county of San Bernardino. I enrolled at San Bernardino Valley college in 2019 as a returning student from 2001. 18 yrs gap in educational past.
My GPA fall 2000 2.73, spring gpa 3.00.over all 2.84.
2001 left school to work. Could not afford to go on my own. With Drew.
2019 return to the same college school, 18 yrs later. Valley college placed me on academic probation. Gpa 3.0 over a 2.8.
2020 fall school takes financial aid away and my GPA is 3.0 over all 2.8.
How is this scenario possible

The question is what were your grades the last semester? That's what academic probation is about, not how well you've done cumulatively.

Not really sure what you're asking. If you're asking us to explain why the school put you on academic probation, I would hope it obvious that no one here will have the slightest idea. I suggest you confer with someone at the school to ascertain why this was done.

When you "withdrew" (that's all one word by the way), did you leave while the semester was in progress? If you did, most likely they viewed all those courses as failed or dropped and that will trigger a formation.

Still, this is NOT a legal issue. The college is free to impose their own rules. As long as they don't single you out because of race or religion or some other protected class, they're free to do as they like.

That's not at all correct. The California Education Code contains a plethora of laws governing the operation of community colleges.

OK, they're free to impose rules that don't conflict with the Education Code. The only mention of the word probation in the entire code refers to students on judicial probation.
