Is there a law about encroachment or creating a hazardous condition? What can be done?
As long as the rocks are on the neighbor's side of the property line, he's in the right.

You can pay for a survey if you want to make sure.

Friends whose car sustained damage have threatened to sue.
As long as the rocks are on the neighbor's side of the property line, they will lose. It's up to the driver to avoid the rocks, otherwise they are driving on the neighbor's property and they are in the wrong.

Reminds me of my own property. My front yard is on a corner. Believe it or not people drove diagonally across my yard rather than drive to the corner and make the turn. I put huge boulders across my front yard. One day one of the boulders (about 300 lbs) at the driveway had been moved about a foot. There was a tire track on the driveway entrance leading to the boulder and pieces of plastic and glass on the ground. I laughed a lot, visualizing the possible scenario and wish I had a video of it.

So, to jchalas and friends, I agree with PayrolGuy, you know the rocks are there, drive carefully and avoid them.

These stones on your neighbor's property? In the event that they are you could figure out how to drive and not run into things on another person's property.

So John, are you opening old threads and replying with the same answers already given for fun or are you getting ready to SPAM?

My guess would be spam since the address is to a law office.
