    Default Likelihood of Alimony (Florida)

My question involves a marriage in the state of: Florida

Is anyone familiar and experienced with judges and mediators in Pinellas County? I'd like to get an idea how they calculate alimony, both the award and probable amount, based on some income figures. Since the question does involve income, I'd prefer to give the figures in private messages or email.

Alimony is not only based on the incomes of the parties but also on the length of the marriage and the ability of the proposed recipient to earn a living.

There are several Florida alimony calculators online but they are provided by law firms and we are not allowed to link to them so just google Florida alimony calculator.

For information on how ANY Florida court calculates alimony, read the statute Section 61.08 of the Florida Civil Practice and Procedure:

If you intended to ask if anyone here has such experience, the answer is almost certainly no.

I suggest googling something like "pinellas county divorce attorneys."

It isn't like anyone is monitoring the place.

Seems like every time somebody links to a law firm's site, it disappears.

Hmm, perhaps I was thinking about freeadvice.com where they are more anal about linking to the websites of the "competition."

I think you were. We can't even get the spambot banned here.

I posted on the off chance someone here might have gone through a divorce in Pinellas, and would be willing to pass along experiences with the mediators and possibly judges. Sorry to be a disturbance otherwise. I was hoping to get a feel for the inclination towards alimony based on the overall circumstances. Yes, there is a list of elements which affect alimony here, and it's the nuances which get one.

    Thanks for your attention.

You'd have a better chance by advertising on Craigslist in Pinellas, then finding somebody on a site like this.

Or an even better chance by asking a divorce lawyer in Pinellas.

Sorry to be a disturbance otherwise.
You're not. You're just making a common error thinking that what anybody else has experienced is going to relate to what you're going to experience. It's not. Every case is different.
