Default Registering with No Title; Title is with Seller's Lender

My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: Washington

    Hi,

I bought a car from a private party. The seller had an outstanding loan and hence the title is with seller's lender (Wells Fargo). It will take the lender 4 to 6 weeks to release the title.

In absence of title how do I register the vehicle in my name?

    Thanks a ton

    You don’t.

It also shouldn’t take the lender that long to release the title.

Assuming the seller actually pays off the loan. If not, you don't get to register the car until the lien is released. That could be never.
