Default Can I Get My Car Registered in My Home State

I was parked on the side of the road at a friends house. When i returned i found out that my car was towed and the plates where confiscated. I moved to FL a couple of months ago and switched everything over except my registration. Because the insurance was Florida it was considered lapsed in NY where it was previously registered and towed. I surrendered my plates and there is currently a 120 day hold on the registration. My Florida driver license is in good standing. Can i get the car registered in FL?

Unlike driver's licenses, there's no registry or compact for plates. If you've got the stuff you need to title and register in Florida, it should go forth.
