    Default Slip and Fall Injury

My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: Slip and Fall injury.

Yesterday i slipped off the wet surface and this causes severe injury in my back. Floor was wet and as i was in a hurry, didn't notice it. Isn't this the responsibility of my property owner to tell me about the situation or provide a note about the condition. What should i do to file for a claim? If yes then what will be the expected amount i can receive?

    Why was it wet?
    What was wet?
    Where were you?
Do you have reason to believe the property owner knew it was dangerous?
What are the nature of your injuries?
Who told you the injury was severe?

You have not hit the lottery.

    Possible contributory negligence there.

Possibly, if he knew about it.

Common sense would dictate that you report the incident and your injury to the property owner. Did you do that when it happened? Any witnesses?

If (and that's a big if) the property owner was negligent, you can expect to collect between a dollar and a gazillion dollars depending on a variety of factors which may or may not come to light during the next few months.

Meantime, answer the previously posted questions.

In other words, it's something you would have noticed had you been paying attention?

What situation? What condition? If you want any sort of useful responses, you're going to need to provide a clear description of what happened (including what "my property owner" means).

If you have a valid claim, you may be able to recover the amount of your medical expenses, lost wages and "pain and suffering."

the amount of compensation awarded to you in the event of a successful claim for slipping on a wet floor depends on the nature of your injury, how it affected you and how it may continue to affect you. However, typical payouts are 1,675 to 9,700.

Well, those figures might be accurate for the UK (I wouldn't know) but these boards focus on law in the U.S. and if the OP is in the U.S. those figures will not be at all helpful.

And is a thread that is over a month old where the OP has never returned to answer questions.
