Default Resolving an old assault charge without indictment

I had a felony assault charge in Texas 9 years ago but there is no indictment and no warrant either, and I moved out of Texas about 9 years ago, anybody knows what will happen ? Recently I called the court and they said the case is still pending, will they indict me or will they drop the charge ? If they indict me, what is my chance to get out of it ?

    Thanks,

    Peter

    Default Old Pending Charge

If you are indicted, presumably it will be because the prosecutor believes that he can obtain a conviction. You may wish to consult a criminal defense lawyer in the county where this matter is pending, to see if you can obtain a favorable and final resolution to this matter.
