GA is a start, but twelve step is entirely spurious in long term outcome. You need professional help.

I’ve known people who have stopped various addictions with no assistance and people who have had no help beyond XXXXXX anonymous.
quitting is a matter of one’s own desire to do so. Whether they can achieve the desired cessation through their own strength of will or through a program such as XXXXXX anonymous or some greater level of treatment will depend on the individual. If one doesn’t have a true desire to stop, nothing, including professional help will succeed.
But if you read my post you will notice I mentioned going to GA for one reason: to be told that blaming others for your condition and circumstances is a sign of failure of one’s intent of ceasing the undesirable behavior. Of course I could tell the op the same thing but the GA group is more likely to be seen as authoritative.
The basic problem here is that you did authorize the charges for your gambling. So why should the financial institutions reverse the charges you made when the charges are legitimate? Sure, you have a gambling problem, but that is YOUR problem, not the problem of the financial institutions or the off-shore gaming sites you used.
Well If you go to walmart and buy a TV for your personal used and later on it showed on your transaction you bought 20 case of beer. Is it legitimate. Simple as that.
I bet all of you never or ever even looking at the 2006 UIGEA ( UPDATED 2009- 2011.)

Since you believe you already have al of the answers, why are you here asking questions? If you already know all of the answers, why don’t you have your money back?

legitmate for what purpose? The misstatement doesn’t mean you didn’t wilingly and intentionally spend the money shown on the receipt.
Okay.... So for all of the lecturing in the thread, it sounds like the actual issue here is that this was an overseas casino, and thus that credit card companies are prohibited from processing transactions to pay for gambling with the casino. Unlawful casinos frequently charge their customers through what appear to be legitimate businesses in order to avoid having credit card companies reject their charges. That doesn't render the charge legitimate -- it's an attempt to trick the credit card company into making a payment that is prohibited by law. If you do make a timely and successful challenge to a transaction, then even though you did gamble through the illegal casino the credit card company will attempt to invalidate the transactions and recover the money.
But... if the credit card customer is not timely with the dispute, or cannot establish that the charges made through the third party businesses were not legitimate, it is possible for the credit card company to uphold the charges as valid.
I don't know that it will accomplish much, but it is possible to file a complaint about a credit card company with the Department of the Treasury.
