Default How Do I Obtain a Police Record

My question involves criminal records for the state of: South Carolina

A few years ago I was arrested, but the warrant came from a different county (Charleston). I was arrested in a different county only to be extradited to the county where the warrant was. I was wondering do I call the police department in my home county or the police department in Charleston?

Do you call for what purpose? What is it that you're seeking to obtain?

the police record. I was arrested in one county, but the warrant of origin was from another. So does it show up in the Charleston police database or the database where I live?

There will be some record in both counties. The county that issued the warrant will have the record of the original crime and likely its disposition. The county where you were picked up will have a record that you were picked up on behalf of the county that issued the warrant and transferred to them.

What if the arrest was expunged? Will it even still show up in the database? I see in sc law that when you expunge an arrest all agencies involved are notified. Is that true?

If that i what the law says, then that is what should happen. I say should because errors can happen. If you are so concerned about whether these records still exist, contact the agencies involved. Should one or both still have records, provide them with a copy of the order for the expungement so they can update their records.
